As reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, the court, having examined the statement of the prosecutor of the Vilnius District Prosecutor’s Office, imposed a restriction of liberty sentence, ordering the man to stay at his place of residence during this period, except for the time allocated to go to healthcare institutions or work, not to leave the city limits of his place of residence without the permission of the supervising institution, and to start working or register with the Employment Service.

According to the case data, Elektrėnai resident R. M. on January 13 of this year shared a video about the January 13 events on his public Facebook account and posted a statement claiming that it was not people but mannequins placed under the tank tracks.

The court assessed that with such a post the man publicly denied and grossly belittled the serious crimes committed by persons who carried out or participated in aggression against Lithuania in 1990–1991 in an insulting and offensive manner to the residents of Lithuania.

The court’s criminal order was not appealed and has already come into force.
