According to officers, at about 8:10 PM near Aukštkiemiai village, the driver of a “BMW X3,” born in 1979, was found to have 2.21 promille blood alcohol content (the person refused a second test). The man was detained and locked up in the detention cell.

According to officers, at about 9:20 AM it was noticed that several gaming machines had been broken into and money was stolen from the coin safes.
The damage is being determined, and a theft investigation has been started.

Soon, officers stopped a couple from Kaunas riding electric scooters without helmets.
“Maybe we can get away with a warning?” asked friends riding bicycles next to them.
Unfortunately, they will not get off that easily. The cheerful group insisted they thought the rules were more lenient in the resort. Since this is their first offense, they will likely have to pay fines of just about 10 euros each.
“It’s somehow unpleasant, the first day of vacation and already so harsh. Maybe one report can be issued for the whole family?” the stopped individuals pleaded.
