Latvian border guards turned back 52 migrants on Friday, while no attempts to illegally enter the country were recorded at the Polish border on Thursday.

This year, a total of 1032 illegal migrants have been denied entry into Lithuania. Last year, there were more than 1.6 thousand attempts to enter the country illegally from Belarus, and the year before that, the number was 1002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25.6 thousand foreigners from entering the country illegally.
