Found dead
Today at around 11 a.m., officers from Alytus County found the body of the missing person in the Varčia forest area.

Searched by all means
According to the police, D.M., born in 1951, left home for the Varčia forest at around 7 a.m. on July 25, and his whereabouts have been unknown since then.

From the morning of July 26, officers from the Alytus County Chief Police Commissariat, State Border Guard Service cynologists with service dogs, and a drone were involved in the search. State Border Guard Service officers also contributed to the search using a helicopter.
