This will be the 20th „Lidl“ store in Kaunas and the 87th in Lithuania.
„The new store will open its doors in a convenient and important location for Kaunas residents – at the beginning of Rokeliai Street, which connects Panemunė with the rapidly growing Rokeliai and Rokai settlements,“ says Antanas Bubnelis, Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs at „Lidl Lithuania“.
The retail chain contributed to improving local transport. Additional acceleration, deceleration, and turning lanes have been installed on Marijampolė Road to ensure traffic safety. Rokeliai Street has also been renovated: an additional traffic lane, two new public transport stops with pedestrian paths, and a safe, illuminated pedestrian crossing have been installed. In addition, part of the future S. Fanstilio Street has been laid at the intersection with Rokeliai Street.
On the opening day, the new store will open at 8 a.m., and on other days it will also welcome customers from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The new store is of the usual format, well known to many customers. The store operates regular and self-service checkouts. XXL self-service checkouts are well suited for larger purchases and quick shopping.

A spacious parking lot has also been arranged next to the store. The store is also convenient for electric vehicle drivers – there are parking spaces next to the store where electric cars can be charged.

The store team will consist of about 30 employees.
Currently, there are 86 „Lidl“ stores operating in Lithuania in 31 cities across the country.
