According to artist Remigijus Janušaitis, the idea of “Meetings” is inspired by current trends – in recent years, more and more artists have chosen the Prienai and Birštonas region for their life or work, according to a press release. This is already the second exhibition of this concept, but its initiator says he is confident that the initiative uniting the region’s creators will continue.

For the first time in his native Prienai, the increasingly popular young generation painter Živilė Kazlauskaitė presents her work. The artist says she believes that her very personal paintings allow people to see their own stories and inner experiences. When the peace and silence of nature are complemented by experienced dreams and inner images, people can feel what usually remains at the edges of the heart, says the artist.
This year’s “Meetings” exhibition features artists Remigijus Janušaitis, Jurgita Juškaitė-Jakaitienė, Živilė Kazlauskaitė, Živilė Vaičiukynienė, Audronė Baronienė, Petras Baronas, Dalia Visockaitė-Kisielienė, Nerijus Kisielius, Giedrė Trakimavičienė, Virgilijus Trakimavičius, Jurgita Buterlevičienė, Zigmas Buterlevičius, Andrius Lik, Ilona Junevičienė, Rūta Simutytė, Petras Lincevičius, Aušra Deltuvienė, Algimantas Sakalauskas, Vytenis Sakalauskas.

The “Meetings 2” exhibition will be held at the Prienai Culture and Leisure Center until June 30.
