In the B semi-final, L. Valeika was fifth in the fencing elimination event, fourth in the obstacle course, 12th in swimming, and started the final running and shooting event from third position.

Although he dropped a few places, he crossed the finish line seventh. 9 participants from two semi-finals advanced to the final.
“In the last 600 meters, I gave everything I had. After the last shooting, it seemed like I had no strength left, but when all the Lithuanians started shouting and cheering, it felt like I got a second engine and had as much strength as in the first lap. Thank you all,” L. Valeika said after the finish.

Last year’s European Junior (U17) champion L. Valeika will compete in the final tomorrow. On the fifth day of the World Championship in Kaunas, two more finals will take place. Martina Rutkauskaitė and Gustė Pečiulytė will compete in the girls’ (U22) final, while Rokas Sungaila and Dominykas Banys will compete in the boys’ (U17) final.
