The 27-year-old right-back, who holds Italian and Kosovan citizenship, arrives in Kaunas from the Diósgyőri (DVTK) club in Miskolc, Hungary.

At a very young age, L. Kastrati left his native Kosovo and moved to Italy, where he initially joined the “Padova” academy, and later spent six years in the system of the legendary “Roma” club, and before starting his professional career, he spent two more years in the “Bologna” youth team.

In 2020, the footballer began his professional career in Hungary, with “Ujpest” playing in the country’s strongest league, where he spent four years.

Later, L. Kastrati’s career took him to Poland, where he joined forces with the current “Kauno Žalgiris” coach Željko Sopičius at the “Widzew” club in Lodz.
