Throughout the day, the crews not only searched for control points but also completed various driving and precision tasks. The participants competed in two different types of slaloms – in one, precise car handling skills were most important, while in the other, held at the Kretinga motoball field, speed mattered more. They also faced a car handling task on a slippery surface and drove driving simulators that allowed them to try the legendary “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” track in a virtual environment.

“The day really did not drag on, although the route was long. The girls covered 205 kilometers, more than half of which had to be driven according to the road book. We are glad that all tasks went smoothly, and the participants showed exceptional friendliness to each other. When one crew got a flat tire, other teams stopped as well – they helped change the wheel together and only then continued the journey. Such moments very well show the true spirit of the ‘Women’s Challenge’,” said the event organizer Jolanta Iselionienė.
After a full day of trials, the participants finished at the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race village, where in the evening the best-performing teams were awarded. Here, the awards established by partners and organizers were presented by Algis Latakas, General Director of Klaipėda Port Authority.
