“Dinamo” also won away 2:1 last week against “Mondorf-les-Bains” from Luxembourg, but 90 minutes in Tbilisi on Thursday was not enough.
The hosts’ forward Algassime Bah missed a penalty at 65 minutes, while the visitors’ representative Clement Couturier scored at 87 minutes, forcing extra time (0:1).
During extra time, another penalty was awarded against the “Mondorf-les-Bains” team, and Nikoloz Ninua (111 minutes) did not miss.

The return match ended in a 1:1 draw, so “Dinamo” won with an aggregate score of 3:2 and advanced to the second stage, where they will meet “Žalgiris”.
“Dinamo” is the most titled club in Georgia, having become the national champion 19 times. However, the last time this was achieved was in 2022.
Next week – July 23 at 8 PM (Lithuanian time) – the first encounter between “Žalgiris” and “Dinamo” will take place in Tbilisi, and the return match on July 30, also at 8 PM, will be played in Vilnius.
