Gas cylinder exploded
Vilnius County Police representative Julija Samorokovskaja informed 15min that the report about the incident in Juodšiliai was received at 13:48.
“The calling woman stated that a gas cylinder exploded in a two-story house consisting of several apartments,” said the police representative.
According to her, the explosion occurred in a house located on Mickevičiaus Street.
Firefighters, medics, and police immediately rushed to the scene.
Woman injured
Fire Protection and Rescue Department (PAGD) representative Edita Zdanevičienė said that the fire report was received at 13:35.

“It was reported that the house was burning with open flames and a gas cylinder exploded (…) Five fire trucks were used to extinguish the fire,” said the PAGD representative to 15min.
“When firefighters arrived, the veranda of the two-story brick house was on fire. Firefighters removed 3 large gas cylinders and 2 smaller ones from the house,” she added.
According to her, a woman was injured during the incident. The fire is currently being extinguished.
