Particularly attractive is that existing AP batteries can be used at full capacity with the new Kärcher battery devices. For Kärcher customers, ALLPRO is a completely new platform. Nevertheless, Kärcher continues to guarantee comprehensive technical service, availability of spare parts, and batteries for existing devices of the previous “Battery Universe” system. The result is a professional work environment where all daily landscaping, forestry, and cleaning tasks can be performed using a single battery system. This is a significant advantage in efficiency, logistics, and economy, as well as a technological breakthrough in these sectors. STIHL specialized dealers will start offering the new batteries from August 1, 2026. Kärcher will introduce the new batteries and new tools to the market on January 1, 2027.

ALLPRO high-performance batteries with tabless cell technology
The new multi-brand battery system for professional users offers a tailored selection divided into two technological classes. The core of the range consists of the AP 20.1 and AP 30.1 battery models with proven standard cells. They are already familiar in a similar form to STIHL users and are now introduced with a new, unified ALLPRO design. The top class, consisting of the AP 100 P, AP 200 P, and AP 300 P (“Connected”) models, is distinguished by revolutionary tabless cell architecture. Instead of directing the electric current through a single heat-generating narrow spot – the contact tab – the energy flows across the entire surface of the cell. This principle is similar to a wide-neck bottle: water, or in this case energy, can flow out and back much faster through a large opening.
Due to minimized internal resistance, almost no heat is generated during operation or charging, reducing the main cause of cell aging. A direct comparison between a conventional standard battery and the new AP 300 P model with tabless cell technology shows what this means in practice: it provides 60% higher maximum power and 20% longer runtime. Additionally, the charging time required for full readiness is halved, and the service life doubles – up to 3,000 charge cycles without loss of performance.
Thanks to the innovative tabless cell technology, the new “Performance Series” high-performance batteries – AP 100.0 P, AP 200.0 P, AP 300.0 P, and AP 300.0 PC, shown above – in the STIHL ALLPRO system feature an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Moreover, compared to batteries using standard cells, they allow extremely fast charging and achieve up to 3,000 charge cycles without loss of performance.
