According to Tvn24.pl, storms have been moving across Poland since Tuesday morning. The clouds are moving quite slowly, but in some places the downpours are very heavy. Warnings about danger have been issued in some voivodeships of the country, and in some places – even the third – highest – level.

In the afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., the leadership of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship reported that the storm moving through the voivodeship caused considerable damage. As stated on the voivodeship’s Facebook page, about 240 reports related to dangerous weather conditions had been received by that time. And those reports are only increasing.
Most of them – from the Karkonosze districts and the city of Jelenia Góra – 190.
Most reports concern fallen or broken trees, local flooding.
However, at least three cases involve strong winds tearing off roofs of buildings. Two of them are residential houses in the Karkonosze district. In the third building – intended for production and storage – a wall collapsed and the roof was damaged. About 120 people were evacuated from there.

Fortunately, no one was injured.
Summer scout camps, where children spend their time, were also at risk. Preventively, children and staff had to be evacuated from camps in five districts of this voivodeship.
The storm clouds also reached the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and the city of Kraków.
According to Kraków firefighters, they received more than 20 reports within half an hour about dangerous weather conditions in Chšanów. Most complaints were about flooded streets and other city areas.
